Rotor blade testing
Fatigue tests and quasi-static tests until fracture are conducted on rotor blades for windmills to ensure stability in normal operation as well as in extreme weather situations.
Static test
During a quasi-static test a blade is controlled deflected until fracture by up to 6 cylinders. Within the test software various parameters can be monitored and adapted online during the test. The horizontal connection with idler pulleys allows for strokes of up to 9 m.
Dynamic test
Fatigue tests in one or two planes are executed with hydrostatic-mounted cylinders. A specially developed energy-efficient control provides a cost-efficient solution with respect to conventional controls.
