Gear-shift-mechanism testing
Three axes servo-pneumatic testing machines are employed for the endurance test of gear-shift-mechanisms in passenger cars.
By means of combining displacement and force control, gear-shift operations can be simulated and repeated several thousand times.
The use of a climate chamber further ensures that the simulation is done under real conditions.
Gear-shift-mechanism
Every shift-mechanism is accurately defined by its force and displacement input values and executed by the precisely controlled pneumatic axis. An over load at the end position and a side load on the gear selector lever during gear shift are also considered.
Environmental simulation
The testing software controls a climate chamber synchronously to the cyclic repetition of the shift-mechanism. Hence it is possible to repeat the same shift-mechanism for a predefined number of times within a given temperature range. The climate chamber operates suitably in a temperature range of -40°C to +140°C and a humidity range of 10-98% at 10°C to 90°C.
Continuous data recording
By continuously recording data throughout the test period, it is possible to have a statement not only about the type of damages or change in the test parameters but also the evolution of the damages or parameters while performing a test. All data are automatically recorded for further documentation and analysis.
